Thought you’d get a kick out of that. From June, 1989, on one of Tallahassee’s canopy roads. I was in a calendar for my high school. It’s a pretty cool story for someone who was (well, still is) introverted, smart, and not the obvious pick for something like this. I was Miss February — so I wanted to turn it on its head. The previous years Miss February held roses or teddy bears. Um, no. This industrial music/80s alternative chick wanted something different. I borrowed the jeans, the leather jacket, and the car! It was about 110% humidity that day and in the 90s! All worth it. To this day it’s one of the few photos I like of myself.
