Yes, you were well-advised to skip Galveston! Your story reminds me that I need to write my own “Bonnie’s Houston” story!

I don’t miss living there (for 5 years), but I ALWAYS enjoy visiting. It has a bad reputation, but I think it’s a vibrant, fabulous place for a short trip.
