I have learned that holidays are just man-made occasions — I’m on my own schedule and don’t have to follow other people’s festivities. It’s just another day to relax and recharge.

Yes! That’s how I’ve felt about them for ages and ages (even as a teen). Holidays feel a bit arbitrary to me.

Seize the moment to enjoy someone’s company whether it’s November 22 or March 2 or June 28!
