When I sat down to write this story, I realized that the guys in the category I mentioned (“looking for fun but open to something more serious”) were the worst offenders of what you are describing.

The guys who have said they were looking for a LTR have been pretty direct with me: asking about my thoughts on more kids, what type of relationship I have time for, etc, etc.

A lot of online dating tales and language are fairly universal, but sometimes age/part of the country/which app is being used can look a bit different. My observations might not apply for a different age group or pocket of the country.
