This situation has been tricky and complicated the whole way through. I’m keeping some details to myself, but I will say that he’s not the bad guy here. He’s confused and confusing, but not a jerk.

Technically, we only went on two dates. Plus, he did write to me over 2 years ago very clearly (and very sweetly) that he hoped I’d find someone else.

Nonetheless, after all this time, I’m happy that I went ahead and found the courage to put my heart on the line one last time.

For me, it’s the fact that I didn’t ever get a real opportunity to date him…that’s what has been so difficult to let go. All the unknowns frustrate me. There are so many unanswered questions that I will never know.
