This live cut is REALLY good, too. I went up to Atlanta for the Violator tour. This extended version must have been deemed too avant-garde for Atlanta, but made it into the London show.

The grooviness kicks in at about minute 4…I personally dig the mellowish beat that picks up at 5:30, building into an awesome final 2 minutes. Good grief, I still love a re-mix!

I like the occasional ballad generally-speaking, but I prefer more of a beat when I’m listening to my 80’s alternative music. So I totally agree with you — they can drag down the mood if not used sparingly.
