That's the thing about writing in a public domain: my writing is open to the interpretation of the various people who stumble upon me (or have been following along my dating foibles).

I rarely have "villains" in my stories. It's merely written from my perspective. In Jeremy's case, I do think he was wrong not to put "intimacy without commitment" in his profile. As for the rest of it, I was disappointed. Definitely. For me, I rarely meet someone who has as much compatibility as Jeremy and I did. This particular arc was the perfect example of capturing the nuances of online dating: that a first date going well doesn't actually mean anything.

An additional thought: I cannot tell you how many people ask me "how can you be single, Bonnie." As if it MUST be my fault! This dating interaction is such a great example of one of the reasons I'm single.

In any case, I can simulataneously understand your point (and Jeremy's) while also be disappointed and frustrated. Thank you for reading and sharing your perspective!
