Here in Austin where under 30-year old women are plentiful, men tend to have the “there’s something better ‘round the corner” mindset. It is what it is for a middle-aged chick like myself. I’m nothing special in this town (or maybe any town). Ah, well.

I’m picky, but when I find someone that I’m compatible with, I’m THRILLED! I have zero interest in looking for another guy. My experience tells me it’s a miracle I found someone and I’m grateful as heck. It doesn’t happen often, though, and usually “he” has some sort of obstacle preventing him from sticking around for long.

The real truth is that dating is tricky for just about everybody! And, yes, this lingo is so, so exhausting and rather silly!
