I can sincerely say that I have forgotten to send a message within the 24 hour window. I have kicked myself when that has happened. Sometimes my Bumble notifications are iffy, too, so I imagine that I have missed the 24 hour window because I didn’t even realize I had a match!

Additionally, I have not responded to someone that I originally swiped right on because I was on the fence about them, re-read their profile, and had a gut check moment resulting in my realizing I wasn’t interested. (For me, that is fairly rare — maybe 10–20% of the time.)

I hope that provides some insight. It is disappointing to match and never hear from someone!
