I’m still living in chaos — mounds of boxes, decisions to be made, things to be fixed and adjusted to.
But!
I’m living 3 doors down from the beach. My new home brings balmy Southern nights. Seagulls, gently crashing waves, heat lightning, and pink sunsets.
We have a lovely porch off the second story guest house that has a sliver of a view of the harbor. No swings or rocking chairs yet, but it’s a matter of when rather than if.
Today’s songs celebrate the leisure of swaying hammocks, unhurried late afternoons dripping into early evening, interlaced fingers with your special someone.
Too on the nose? Never fear!
I’ve added a live duet of George Harrison’s endlessly charming “Here Comes the Sun” with Paul Simon — that’s worthy of my handful of Bonnie’s Mixed Tape listeners/readers, no?
