Ric Ocasek of the Cars (natch) and Eddie Money died two days apart.

They might not have shared the same musical aesthetic but they overlapped on the radio (and eventually MTV) in the late 70s and the 80s, capturing the hearts of millions.

I never saw the Cars perform, but did have a chance to see Eddie Money a few years ago…
