Reading your story and responses confirms this for me: I'm just NOT a fan of most of the films from the 70s. Except for Star Wars, The Way We Were, and a few horror films like Omen and the Exorcist, I'd much rather watch something from the late 30s-60s or jump to the 80s. What can I say? (Your story, of course, was wonderful as always. Apparently I don't like much from the era. Oh, well!)

Final comment: there is one movie from the 70s that haunts me, The Other, an obscure supernatural/horror movie from 1972. Man, it is super creepy!
