Pretty recently I decided to be more direct in communicating with guys when they are making me uncomfortable. I’m not sure that I have always done that in the past.

I suppose I have this hope that it will make men more aware.

Maybe I’m just being naive, though.

As for this particular guy, I could tell that he was pretty flummoxed by me. I don’t think any woman had ever called him out this directly and emphatically. He seemed genuinely confused.

I’m not sure if our brief interactions will give him a new perspective or if he has written me off as some quirky, one-of-a-kind chick.

At least he didn’t lay into me or get angry, which is what a lot of guys default to when rejected.

More learning lessons if nothing else!
