One of the challenges of writing in this format is that I edit things out for the sake of brevity. Palmer did reach out to me more than I shared in this story. It wasn't as lop-sided as I might have presented it.

In theory, I agree with your assessment of letting men lead. Unfortunately, I have found that not to be the case (and have written about it). For me, men never rose up. I just dated less/stayed home more. But yes, in theory, it sounds lovely to give men space so that they will step up. It must work for some women, but has not been succesful for me.
