My limit is 10 years younger (and typically 3–8). I did make one exception, though, and he remains one of my all-time favorite online dating guys. We were at very different stages of life, but I feel sure we would have dated very seriously if we had been closer in age. He’s a beautiful human and thank goodness I made that exception for him!
In fact, I wrote this story about him:
Meanwhile, virtually every older guy I’ve given a chance has been gross or wishy-washy. I have found them to be even more immature than guys 15 to 20 years their junior. Plus I’m never attracted to them!
Older guys are simply a waste of my time (and vice versa). I’m tired of feeling guilty for not giving older guys a chance. Every. single. time. they disappoint me! (This is not to say that all older guys are like this! But all of the ones I have interacted with have either been indecisive or really sleazy.)
So for the time being, I’m sticking with guys who are about my age or a bit younger.
People always think I’m 10–15 years younger than I am, too, so that might play a part in all of this.
