Most of the guys who brush me off only mildly hurt me or annoy me or confuse me. But occasionally there are the ones I have spent more time with and connected with on a deeper level, those are the guys that have really hurt me. It comes with the territory of opening myself up to them.

It is a tricky balance: being vulnerable enough to make a true connection but guarded enough to protect my heart.
