I’ve dated guys who were busy with work as well as guys who’s job(s) consumed all of their energy. Those are two different types of guys.

If you find yourself making time for someone else and they are making time in return, then compromise seems possible.

If you find yourself constantly makes excuses, never having time, canceling regularly, or being too overwhelmed by life, then your work/life is preventing you from making room for love.

And, of course, if you find yourself dating the person who cancels, never makes plans/time for you, then it’s probably wise to move onto someone willing to make you a part of their life. (I find that easier said than done if I’ve found someone that I’m really compatible with. But the bottom line is those people never have time for me and we both end up frustrated.)
