It's unclear if my back issues (which evolved into piriformis) are perimenopausal related (though the timing is suspect). I can say that all my other issues are, indeed, perimenopausal. Most of my more troubling symptoms are nerve-related. No signs of tumors or anything along those lines. I had NO idea that estrogen loss impacted the entire body! (I had incorrectly assumed it was mostly related to the reproductive system.) Though my symptoms are less common, they aren't really rare either. It's just that no one talks about severe dry eye or burning lips or tingling face or tinnitus during perimenopause so it caught me completely off guard! Then add in the other more common symptoms (which I was mostly managing okay)...it's been rather overwhelming. Anyhoo, thanks for reading!
