“It has long been known that the clothing we wear affects how other people perceive us. What is now being understood, is that what we wear affects how we perceive ourselves.”

I loved your entire story, particularly its premise. One of the messages I am attempting to impart to my (limited) audience is that it is 100% okay to care about your appearance and fashion choices (regardless of size or age). I believe there is a very mixed message that is being sent to people these days: you shouldn’t be shallow and vapid (which encompasses your appearance) while being bombarded by messages that physical appearance is tantamount. I celebrate fashion and looking ones best without sacrificing ones self-esteem or priorities. There is a balance out there, though it can be challenging to find especially for my target audience of (typically) women over 40. I will encourage my readers to read your article!
