I was really nervous about this story, Jonathan Greene! On a personal level and because I wanted to be worthy of Redoubtable!

Oh, trust me! My life fills up the entire Oprah show — I used to just fill up a segment, but at 47 I can fill up the whole show!

It comes down to weighing what’s appropriate to share. Much of my life isn’t merely my life, it’s other people’s lives, too. And I don’t want to cause unnecessary pain.

I am blessed that my mom has given me permission to write about my experiences as a child of someone with mental illness. I plan to share more of those stories, but they are more difficult to write. I’ll share them as I feel called.
