I LOVE your answers, Jeremy Roberts!
You make such a great point about Elvis — back then it would have been perceived as ridiculous to like him. I really like the Monkees, too!
I kept my love of the Beach Boys and Carpenters WELL hidden during the 80s. I would have been mocked relentlessly and I was smart enough to know that. And course, I am still given a hard time about a-ha being my favorite band. But my personal greatest guilty pleasures are Carl Carlton’s “She’s a Bad Mama Jama” (I couldn’t even type that without cracking up) and the Gap Band’s “Early in the Morning.”
Shane is fabulous! My personal fave is East of Eden, but The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is another great one. In fact, I think it’s got the best last line of any movie ever.
Your Charlie Brown answer had me chuckling out loud.
You’re a good sport and a talented writer, my friend. Thank you for taking the time to respond! You brightened my day!
