I have been in therapy for 4 years, am blessed to have 3 male sounding boards, and lots of female friends for feedback. I have taken several self-imposed breaks from dating. I have reflected, pondered, and shed more than enough tears from loss, taking responsibility for relationships going south for reasons that had nothing to do with me, and questioning/praying for guidance whether I should continue to date or accept a fate of never finding love again.

I do not have access to my computer currently and am unable to track down my response when guys ask me the question you have. (Probably 10-20 other guys have asked some version of what you have.)

I can say that about 80-90% of them have responded in this way once I share more info: with an apology to me for making assumptions about me and wishing me all the best.

I appreciate your reading and responding. My own therapist has answered your question (in my sessions): Bonnie, you have had some of the worst luck I have seen. I would recommend that you move somewhere else other than Austin.

I may do that.
