I completely agree that being a party of one can bring kindnesses from locals that aren’t as practical when traveling with a larger party.

And you know I concur: it takes a very strong person to travel solo to really romantic spots. I just cannot go back to Carmel single. I know it will depress me rather than invigorate or empower me. (And it’s okay for me to know that about myself.)
