Honestly, I feel like the villain: he does have a girlfriend and he did write to me over 2 years ago very clearly (and very sweetly) that he hoped I’d find someone else.

Nonetheless, for whatever reason, he’s conflicted but continues to choose to stay with her.

But, yes, after all this time, I’m happy that I went ahead and found the courage to put my heart on the line.

No regrets — in fact, as I said, I know I’ll look back knowing that I made the effort.
