A BMT Mixtape
I heard Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know” on Sirius the other day and today’s theme popped into my head.
Otherwise, I had no idea where my mixtape might head.
In fact, this theme meandered in a few directions before I landed on this exact collection of songs. In the end, I’m really happy with what I’ve created today.
None of these songs are surprises in and of themselves, but once again, this mixtape feels unique to me. And that makes me smile.
BMT hallmarks include: forgotten alternative tunes, live gems, and beloved bands.
Bonnie admission: I keep listening to the Matthew Sweet and Alison Moyet picks! Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
This might be an odd statement, but…while I definitely like some ska, it would be more accurate to say that I really, really appreciate it as a genre.
