And I am all about the debonair Bryan Ferry all. night. long! I had the chance to see him a year or so ago at Moody Theater (here in Austin). Frankly, his voice is mostly shot at this point, but he was suave and it was a joy to see him.

I prefer later Elvis, but “Mystery Train” charms me.

I appreciate “Raspberry Beret” more now than I did when it played ubiquitously on the radio upon its release when I was a mere 13. And I’m a fan of “America,” too. “Sexy MF” is fantastic!

I’m the only person who can’t get into Lorde. She falls in that camp of someone I know I should like, but I’m just unenthused. If I want to hear a female voice, I’m going for Paloma Faith or Clare Maguire these days.
