Don’t hate me but this is the closest thing to The Who that I like…

I think it might be a chick thing. Every person I know who is a massive The Who fan is a guy. (In fact, I’ve had some guy friends admit that only other guys are obsessed with The Who.) Obviously, this is not to say that NO women are huge fans of The Who, but generally-speaking they seem to a “dude band”.
