It’s not natural for me to expose so many of my thoughts. In real life, I don’t withhold my feelings per se. But I’m never the girl who wears her heart on her sleeve.
So there are times when even I am caught off guard by how much I share of myself here in Mediumland.
It’s scary. It’s brave. Or maybe it’s silly and insignificant.
So today I find myself staring at a choice. Give you my usual authentic self. Or go all in.
Feel all the feels. Push aside the fear. Turn my back on my reserved nature. Let you see my pounding heart.
If I’m going to create a mixtape about feeling like I’m in a movie, then I’ve got to deliver, right?
Of course, I can separate out real life from the sheen of a movie.
But if you and I were a movie, this is our soundtrack from the heroine’s perspective.
