Alternatively: I spent almost an hour getting ready to meet him at a time that was convenient for him (just before midnight) and definitely not convenient for me. I was happy to accommodate his busy schedule and never complained about the time I took to get ready so that I would look attractive (hopefully) for him nor the late hour. It was also rather inconvenient that the witty, interesting person I had been texting vanished when I met him in real life. And finally, I certainly did not coerce him into meeting me. He did so with his own free will.

He was kind and respectful, so I applaud him for that in this story.
