Absolutely, Tony Bowman! It may sound implausible, but until I sent those messages and received the “maybe,” it had never occurred to me that he would then choose to ignore me. By choosing “maybe,” I had assumed he would contact me in some way that he had changed his mind to “yes” or “no.” But when he reverted to silence, I realized that there was nowhere to go but “no.”

Anyhoo, yes, an indecisive dude would drive me batty. So I’m trying to latch onto that aspect of this, too!
